Treasure Trap

Treasure Trap resources are whole-class review games that combine teamwork, competition, and a little bit of strategy. Students work in teams to answer questions and check their work with the teacher. When a team answers correctly, they earn the chance to “loot” treasure from another team. The twist? The point values stay hidden until the end of the game, so no one knows who is winning until the final reveal.

Treasure Trap games are perfect for whole-class review, test prep, end-of-unit practice, brain breaks with academic value, or days when you want students collaborating around content. Students work together, discuss their answers, and stay invested because the game can change at any moment. These are a great fit when you want something more interactive than a worksheet but still want students practicing meaningful academic skills.

Treasure Trap games help students review content while building collaboration, communication, and classroom community. The hidden point values keep the game exciting, and the team format encourages students to talk through their thinking before submitting an answer. They bring energy and engagement to review without turning the activity into free-for-all chaos.
